We’re Better Together
Dr. Judith McAllister
President
International Music Department

I’ve only attended a few music seminars in my life. All have happened to be under IMP Music Presidents. Before Judith McAllister Ph.D was appointed to this position I attended a seminar at the Cathedral of Praise-Nashville TN. Her lecture was life an eye opener. One was something that I took personal prior to the workshop where I saw her and she was very tired. She explained to me that she was not a “celebrity” and did not want to be treated as such. Hence, I gain a respect for her and was really able to receive her words. she stressed the importance of participation in the worship and praise. She emphasized how the devil attempts spiritual warfare on God’s people and how being engaged in the worship can help you.
As I was leaving, Dr. McAllister personally invited me to come back and sing in the Jurisdictional Choir and I thought “I really like her”. My main thought was how she seemed to posses the excellence of the past IMP Presidents and a few years later she is now the Department Leader. So I say to Dr. McAllister “God Bless You” and I am excited about the things that God has in place for the IMP through your remarkable and anointed abilities.
Dr. McAllister,
I was so thrilled to learn that our Presiding Bishop, Charles E. Blake, Sr., had chosen you to lead the COGIC International Music Department. I was even more exhilarated to watch a webcast of you directing the anointed CH Mason Memorial Choir at the April 2009 Inauguration of our Presiding Bishop.
What a blessing I received as I cried, worshiped, and lifted my hands to God as I song along with you and the choir throughout the webcast. Your faithfulness, dedication, anointing, and prayerfulness influenced the CH Mason Memorial Choir to sing like I have never heard them sing before. I cannot wait to see and hear the COGIC International Mass Choir this November. By the way, the musicians you have chosen are truly gifted, and Kim Burrell, glory to God, is, like you, awesomely anointed!
Dr. McAllister, I will be praying fervently for you and your leadership team because I believe God wants to take the International Music Department to heavenly places in psalms and praise. Indeed, you may have convinced this 54 year old retired tenor to join the International Mass Choir.
Love you in the Lord,

The Church of God in Christ is the greatest church organization in the world to me.
Dr. Judy McAllister, I congratulate you and pray God’s choice blessings be with you always. You have a most audacious task upon your shoulder’s and I believe God will strengthen and keep you in the responsibilities you have before you.
You are a great women of God and a holy example for young women to follow towards victory.
God bless and keep you is my daily prayer.

I love the Lord and I love the church.
What a talent we have in this woman of God! Thank God for Dr. McAllister.
I pray that in this transition, we remember to keep God first in our decision making and that the traditions and leaders which have labored do not become a memory.
Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Professor Iris Stevenson, Evangelist Dorinda Cole, Psalmist Bettye Nelson, and many more who have labored to get us to this level should not be thrown away or pushed aside. It was disappointing to see a great anointing and talent such as Dr. Stevenson left out after 25 years+ of service.
What some call “The ways of old” should not be pushed aside. I pray that we would not stray far from our musical heritage. Let’s bring something new, but not forget your legacy! God bless
Dr. McAllister, Congratulations on your recent appointment. I have always enjoyed your ministry. My church is in need of a musician. Can you direct me in the right direction?
Be Blessed
I am a COGIC member from Longbridge Avenue, May Pen, Jamaica. My Bishop is Bishop Haughton. I admire your strength in the Lord and you have only prove yourself a valuable soldier for Christ. I remeber when I was younger I always say God please bless me with a voice so I can sing to you but as I started singing I am now asking him to bless my voice with the fire of anointing to reach soul as I sing. It will also be a dream for me to join that choir.
Dr. McAllister, I know that God truly used you to implement the 21 days of prayer and consecration. I can feel the very presence of the Lord dwelling richly among us all over the world because of the consecration. When we remember Him, He will always remember us.
I’m so proud of where I see the International Music Department going. I have been even more inspired to grow in Christ, excel in ministry, and overcome every obstacle that comes my way.
As it has been said before, you are a great woman of God.
With my love and prayers,

Dr. McAllister,
To you woman of The Most High I Say THANK YOU. On Monday Night June 15, 2009, in Nashville Tn, you came to the 55th Holy Convocation of Tenn Eastern First Jurisdiction and just gave an eye-opening spiriual revelation word on “The Precusor To The Glory” I have followed you ministy for a great number of years and when I heard that you were coming words could not be found but the words of The Word you allowed to flow from you on that night are as fresh in me now as they were when they flowed from your lips. That is a Word that everyone one everywhere needs to hear and I pray that you start allowing us to hear your spoken word on CD, DVD as well as we hear your word in song.
I pray and will strongly urge Bishop Felton M. Smith, Jr., to invite you back again in 2010 and share with us again the wisdom of the glory of God. Nothing else I can say for what can you say when the Holy Ghost speaks and moves as he did on that night

I thank you so very much for how the music department blessed us, you are doing such a wonderful job, also Kim Burell. I also thank you for how you do praise and worship, when you go forth it seems like we can fly around the room, may God keep blessing you in your new position.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, I encourage EVERYONE to hear and take heed to the unforgettable message delivered by our own Dr. Judith McAllister, during the 2009 AIM Convention, entitled, “Where Are the Weapons of Mass Destruction?” (answer: “It’s in your mouth!”) You will never be the same…I promise. It’s ALL good, and it’s ALL God!
With lots o’ love,

Dear Dr. McAllister,
Congratualations on being the new National Music Department leader. I, was wondering, how to order the COGIC Jurisdictional Mass Choir CD’s from Chicago, Mass, under the late Bishop Ford, and the one with Timothy Wright Mattie Wigley and Walter Hawkins as well as the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark’s Song is Born albums. If, you could let me know, I, would appreciate it very much. I, am a musician/songwriter, and used to sing in the Jurisdictional Mass Choir. I, hope you can offer workshops for musicians/songwriters. I, sat in a workshop a long time ago in Twinkie’s organ class. I, hope to meet you one day, and am anxious to participate in all of the music departments activities.
Sincerely yours,
Vanessa Brown
Congratulations! I hope and pray that I will one day get to experience singing in the international choir.
My question is how to go about having a “choir revival.”
Our choir can use some motivation. They have the voices and can sing but we know it takes more than that.
I have a concept of what I want to do but would like your advice.
God Bless you.
Dr. McAllister,
I have been listening to you since I was very young lead the praise and worship at our International Convocations. Congratulations on your new appointment as the President of the C.O.G.I.C. International Music
Depaartment and I know that God has given you a vision for the Music Department. I know that you are sincere about the work of God. I love singing so much and I have been singing since I was 2 years old and I will be blessed on August 13 to become 28 years old. God has anointed me to write songs, lead praise and worship, lead songs, and do solos. Although, when I sing in choirs I usually sing background. I sincerely look forward to seeing you in September 28, 2009 at the International Choir Rehearsal hosted by AR 2nd Jurisdiction. I am a member of AR 1st Jurisdiction.
May God bless your every endeavor.
Love, Michelle

Dr. Judith Christie McAllister is a reflection of the Presiding Bishop. When I am in Los Angeles I see the way things operate and I see excellence. When in Nashville, TN I see the respect that follows her at Bishop Maynard’s church and the Ministry of Bishop JW Walker III. Her musicianship and biblical knowledge sets the pace for the entire IMD. I look forward to enjoying the music when ever there is a COGIC event. The next best thing to physically being at the functions is to watch live streaming via internet or on demand. I love it!!!!!
I thank God for you and the ministry that He has given to you to share with us and to touch our lives.
Dr. Judith I Bless God for you and your ministry, you are indeed a blessing to the International Music Department and I am happy for you. I am one who is greatful to serve God’s people any way I can according to His will. I have been working in the background of the National choir now since 1985 my steps are slowing down now, but my praise and other musical skills are yet going strong. I look forward to singing in the National Choir once again this year. God Bless You, you are a Phenominal Woman of God. Love You Much

I want to celebrate our International Music Department and in particular, Dr. Judith Christie McAllister for a job not just “well done”, but excellently done during the 102nd Holy Convocation in Memphis, TN on this past week. This was my first time singing with the International Mass Choir and it was an experience that I will never forget and I look forward to participating in and supporting the IMD in the future!!
