The move of the COGIC Holy Convocation to St. Louis, MO – after 102 years in Memphis, is a historical one; and the International Music Department has the opportunity to capture this event in musical form.

The IMD’s upcoming project, entitled:  “The International Music Department Presents THE ST. LOUIS EXPERIENCE”, (CD & DVD Recording) is destined to be one of notable achievement; and this momentous occasion will afford to COGIC songwriters the prospect of their music being heard, and the opportunity to present to the world a historic offering.

COGIC songwriters, who are interested in this opportunity, may submit original music to be considered for inclusion.  Submissions must be mailed to the Receiving Commissioner by the date indicated on the application.   Entries which comply with the guidelines outlined in the Songwriter’s Submission Packet, will be forwarded to the IMD Listening Panel.  Entries that fail to meet the submission criteria will not be considered further; and the songwriter will be notified via e-mail correspondence from the Reviewing Commissioner.

What a time we had in Tampa! I am so grateful to God for His visitation during the 2009 AIM Convention; and I want to thank all of you who contributed with your prayers and/or your participation. To each one of you, please know that I love and appreciate you. Your faithfulness enabled us to lead the services with excellent music ministry; and I am grateful for your dedication to the International Music Department (IMD). Welcome to the International Music Department for the Church of

God in Christ.We are so honored that you have taken pause within

your busy day, to pay us a visit. As a department we will centralize

our focus on JESUS and HIS kingdom; and this focus will be the goal

of all departmental activities. We will endeavor to remove attention

away fromman and/or tradition, realizing that the commandments
