Introduction:  Creating a bonding relationship in a women’s class that will support women through the Word of God in everyday life.  Meeting there everyday needs in a way that will help them to develop a stronger relationship with the Father.  Developing boldness in those in your class to reach others who are in spiritual and emotional need

I.                   With the disastrous divorce numbers that are occurring in this era, it is time for us to take the words of Paul, the greatest apostle and evangelist ever, to heart.  The aged women likewise, that they  be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.  (Titus 2:3, 4)  Teaching, training, support and love from the mothers and aged women in the church are so needed in these times.  Younger women need mother figures to be there for them.  The existence of extended families has diminished with the globalization of the world’s job market.  People move from family bases after leaving college or simply in search of better jobs.  With the break up of core families as mentioned through divorce, many women find themselves trying to juggle quite a bit without the support of extended families.  That puts the church as the first line support system for these women and their children.

a)     The church has a forum for women (YWCC & CWC), but the time for coming together maybe limited. A resolution to this is to have that group come together to share in Sunday school lessons.

b)    Many issues within the lessons address issues that women face today.  Helping women develop the meaning from lesson aims as applied to their lives can be very helpful.

c)     Utilizing Titus 2:3, 4 can help a lot with developing an outline for this type of class, along with the organization skills of our mothers from the past, and the successful pray lives of these women.

II.               Women must know the importance of engrafting the church into the support of helping to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord along with loving their husbands.

a)     The church has Sunday school, sunshine band, purity classes that need to be pushed to the women of the church through training.  We support secular school events above and beyond the church events.  Setting this precedence sends the wrong message for God as priority in a child’s life.

b)    Use the same diligence for preparing children for Sunday school and organization as for other school activities.  Take a day in the week to study the children’s lesson together as a family.

-utilize the cogic.org website and go to the Sunday school tab to get the lesson if there is no book.  Women must build their home on a foundation and the Word is that solid foundation you need.
