ELDER Wallace R. Dixon

Elder Wallace R. Dixon is an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ.  He is the Jurisdictional Sunday School Superintendent for Delaware where Bishop C.E. Blake, Sr., is Prelate, Bishop P. A. Brooks is Interim Bishop.  Mother I. Goldsberry   is Supervisor of the Women Department.  He is a member of Bibleway Temple Institutional C.O.G.I.C. Dover, De. He is the Chaplain for the City of Dover and Dover Police Department. He is a Delaware Human Relation Commissioner.  He is married to Missionary Lillie R. Dixon.

First thing we have to do is understand how a man’s mind works, men like to be involved with other men doing the same thing that you want them to do.  Men respond when other men are going to church!!!  When you create a place for men they will come.
 
Men respond to empowerment
Men respond to job responsibility
Men respond to information that they can relate to
Men respond to what addresses there  issues of  every day life

Men don’t respond to pressure
Men don’t respond to a canned lesson that has nothing to do with what they are feeling
Men don’t respond to an invitation when all they see is the need for money rather than the need to help them find there nitch in working in the church.

Past failures
Hurts from childhood
Financial issues
Parenting issues
ANGER

We must create a program specifically for men in order to expect them to respond, if it does not address the need, they will not come.  It’s time to think out of the box.
