DEACON HARRY BROWN III

Educator, Trainer, and Teaching Visionary… Deacon Harry Brown is an anointed revelator of God’s Holy Word, leading the Body of Christ through proper instruction, spiritual maintenance, and life-long application for continued obedient and victorious living in Christ Jesus.

Deacon Harry Brown has a fervent desire for teaching and preaching the Word of God.  Having been called to the Office of the Teacher, his passion coupled with God’s anointing and teaching gift has fortified saints to relentlessly hold fast to their profession of faith, purpose, and destiny.

The youngest child of Harry Brown, II and Missionary Sylvia Brown, it wasn’t until the age of 29 that Deacon Brown developed a true love and appreciation for God, the church, and the rich history of COGIC in his own family – being the grandson of the late Superintendent Theodore McRae of Syracuse, NY. 

In March of 2002 after being evangelized by his spiritual advisor, Pastor Chad Carlton and mentor, the late Bishop Sherman Scott Howard both of the Washington, DC Jurisdiction, they began to recognize the calling on Deacon Brown’s life.  Since relocating to the New York area in June of 2006, Deacon Brown now continues to cultivate his spiritual gifts under the tutelage of his Uncle and Pastor, Vincent E. Teague of the New York Western First Jurisdiction.  Pastor Teague continues to train and nurture Deacon Brown having him serve in every biblical teaching capacity for the New Bethel Community COGIC in Schenectady, NY. 

Deacon Harry Brown received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida with post-graduate studies in Environmental Economics.  Having spent a majority of his professional career in telecommunication sales, marketing management, and public relations, he later transitioned as a civil servant working with the District of Columbia in contracts management and program performance monitoring for the Dept. of Employment Services.  Currently, Deacon Brown serves the State of New York as a contracts manager and purchasing officer specialist for the Office of General Services.  

During a tumultuous, but essential period in Deacon Brown’s life, the Lord spoke to him through the Holy Scriptures in 2nd Peter 1:19-21, thus inspiring him to focus his teaching ministry on always “rightly dividing” the Word of God where spiritual healing, restoration and economic empowerment can be accomplished only by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in obtaining wisdom and knowledge of the scriptures.  Many educators teach in order to gain notoriety, but only few educate and minister accountability and responsibility to souls.  Deacon Brown always encourages God’s people to defy life’s many challenges, whatever they may be, and use their God-given faith to manifest their anointed potential and achievement in every field of human endeavor.
