Women’s Ministry | Looking for Love

Evangelist Missionary Rebecca Casson

Are you going to get married? Don’t you want a family? Are you too picky?  What’s wrong with you? These are just a few questions single men and women ask themselves.  God has a purpose for all single people and works above and beyond what we could ever image on our behalf. Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 7:32, “But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he/she may please the Lord.” Paul felt strongly that the single life was best. Time, talent, and resources can be directed toward the Lord without interference. God has a great and mighty work available for such “specialized” soldiers on the battlefield of life!  Singleness as well as married both should be viewed as seasons of life, instruments God uses to build His character in each person. Whether an individual is married or single is not a description of his or her identity.  The great thing about singleness is, God has a plan for you. God has a mission for you.  Singles should be content and happy in the state they are in. If a person is not happy as a single, what makes him/her feel they will be happy married? We will explore unique opportunities for ministering to God’s people and to the world. We will also encourage singles to wait “the right way!” That is: don’t get desperate. Get deliberate before the Lord! Singles need to know nobody will ever love them like Jesus.
