The Stabilizing Force

YPWW – A Stabilizing Force For COGIC Youth and Young Adults

By Chairlady Joyce Rodgers

mini2-youth-logoIn today’s society, young people are constantly reminded of the challenges that await them in life. Many of them will face gang violence, teen pregnancy, eating disorders, physical and sexual abuse and more. Some of these problems can be traced back to the culture, while others are the result of a dysfunctional family environment.

No matter the problem, the Young People Willing Workers (YPWW) is a stabilizing force in the Church of God in Christ because its literature offers young people spiritual and practical teachings for every aspect of life.

The literature is packed with information that addresses a plethora of topics drawn from diverse perspectives and experiences. The articles are relevant to the culture and promote biblical literacy, positive self-awareness, academic astuteness, leadership proficiency, parenting and overall Godly stewardship.

Our cutting edge leader, Bishop Charles E. Blake, has entrusted in our hands a generation of leaders, community activist, entrepreneurs, pastors, and national/international church leaders. It is his desire that we train our youth to fulfill their God-given destiny, equipping them in the areas of decision-making, career readiness, biblical competency and more.

We are responsible for equipping the next generation of Godly men and women who will impact the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. And the tools we use to educate, expose and develop them can be found in the YPWW literature.

My passion and desire as the International Chairlady of the Youth Department is to be a catalyst and help this generation of outstanding youth experience the learning and personal growth that comes with living a life for Jesus Christ.
