The bullet hit him in the neck. Then the perpetrators all fled the scene of the crime. Right after the shooting, an off-duty policewoman who lived close was coming home from her shift. When she approached him and realized he was hurt, she got on her knees to cradle him and called for help. Shortly after she began holding him; the perpetrators came back with guns drawn. She told them with the strength of an angel, “not today….not today!”
