We enter a new century, a new millennium, and a new era in which the church must launch a new paradigm of ministry to illustrate, as well as, execute the Great Commission from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The collective membership of the Church of God in Christ will, once again, lead the world in advancing Pentecostal faith and social justice around the world.
Finally, we have the means of reaching hundreds of thousands, and soon, millions, of COGIC members, friends, and partners as a collective mission to transform the world.
By dismantling the “top-down” approach to executing ministry, the Church, is devising the means by which central operations in Memphis and other auxiliary operations around the nation will serve the local church with a rich treasure of resources that will strengthen the work and organization of the congregation, and with it, the edification of the membership.
The Church of God in Christ is going digital! Imagine every pastor having an online library of resources at their disposal? Imagine each congregation having the capacity to communicate with members by text messaging, email, and video? Imagine the capacity of communicating local, district, jurisdictional, and national events and news? Imagine being unable to attend national events, but still experiencing the events through webcasting? Imagine registering for any of the Church’s conventions and securing first come-first served hotel reservation with immediate confirmation notices?
For every disaster that occurs in the nation and around the world, the Church of God in Christ can be there and launch a video mail sharing our efforts to relieve pain, suffering, and catastrophe. The Church can quickly solicit your gifts and abilities to alleviate a crisis and provide you with the “road map” to your personal involvement.
In a matter of months, education will become a matter of a home computer and a registration to one of the Church’s many online avenues to career and professional development, a college education, and biblical and theological studies.
Local churches will have the capacity to join the Church’s online community, as well as, districts, and jurisdictions. Each will have the capacity to advertise events to local communities, area-wide, jurisdiction, regions of the country, and around the world. Your conference, convention, and other events will reach thousands, replacing fliers, expensive TV and magazine ads, while offering online registration by credit card and check processing from your pages of the Church. Members from the local church, who can’t return home can view worship and give their offerings DIRECTLY and SECURELY to the account, you authorize.
Now, jurisdictional events, conferences and district meetings can offer from their own web pages, news, announcements, invitations, and registrations with online payment methods restricted to their exclusive and private use.
To serve the credential holders of the Church and at the discretion of the jurisdictional prelate and supervisor, the new COGIC.com will offer voluntary jurisdictional online financial reporting to receive district, state, and national obligations.

Looking forward to seeing The Church of God in Christ establish itself firmly in the digital community as a denomination. I recall the very first website back in the mid 1990’s under Mo. Hughey and I must they that COGIC is moving forward. I have no doubt that this will aid in process of COGIC increasing its global presence.
All the best.
I am sooooooooooooo Godly proud of the Church of God In Christ and the advancements that have been made in the past few years. I am glad that we have a global leader who recognizes the earnest benefits of being about our Father’s business. Many corporations have connected as you have described in this article, I am glad that the Church of God In Christ will be able to do the same. Kudos to our International Presiding Bishop, His Eminence, the Most Reverend Charles E. Blake and the leadership team he has assembled. Onward and Upward for Jesus!
We are pleased to a part of the great move of creative and aggresive ministry springing up throughout our great church. Please feel free to visit our website.

Our presence on the information superhighway is critically necessary so we can take our message of pentecostal holiness to more countries. God bless Bishop Blake for seeking to bridge the digital divide. God is with us as we move to our denominational destiny.
God is so amazing, I’m blessed to see so much of His modern day work.
I know what prayer can do . And if we are as blessed as we are already

The Digital Divide is very critical to all of us. It’s important to just acknowledge that it does exist then we can bridge the gap between the “haves and the have nots”.
C.O.C.I.C has truly made an advance in the future technology,I think my great grand Dad( Charles H. Mason) would have truly been amazed at the growth. Keep up the good work. God Continue too Bless
good jb cogic
I am pleased that we are beginning to bridge the digital divide. However, recently I discovered that I could no longer access the “links” button that took me to a comprehensive list of COGIC churches and their websites. This was an invaluable resource for me as I was able to see my brothers and sisters that are serving worldwide. I also signed in and submitted my church’s website via the networking opportunities link. As of the date of this writing I have had no response and was actually hoping my church would appear in the “links” but now that page is no longer available. I have also noticed that our website is not regularly updated. Thanks for your efforts so far and I have confidence that our COGIC website will be a world class tool for soul winning and information for our members. Love You All.
I am pleased! at the progress the church has made in recent years under the care of Bishop Blake. Great job! we have needed this for some time now. It is my sincere hope that we move forward with bridging the digital divide with a world view.
I am grateful for the vision of our Presiding Bishop. I registered last year when this initiative was first published on the homepage. Please provide status update.
This is a great way to stay in touch with all that is going on in The COGIC. This site is my home page and I really enjoy it.
I loved the way The COGIC has stayed on the forefront in the Gospel and African American community.
To JB when will people quit calling this Grand ole COGIC black white or whatever. I do not believe that the church is really listening to what the Spirt is saying to the church.ALL THINGS ALL PEOPLE ALL GODLY STRATEGIES. Thank you Bishop Blake. Love you all.
Iam excite about the change our cogic faith are making. I am working with my local church as we can all grow under this great leadership
Dear COGIC Web Designer,
I sincerely miss the leadership of Bishop G.E.Patterson. He had the wisdom to leave things that worked alone. The current setup for our national website has all the attributes of a national disaster. While trying to find bishops, churches and jurisdictions, I exhausted all allotted time to yet and still come up empty. This may be the worst design in our 102 years as a church. Please consider making our national page more user friendly!
We have myspace and facebook, why can’t we have a COGIC network. I love the idea of networking with other saints. Bishop Blake is doing a wonderful job with the church he is a great business man and a world class leader.
Helo Saints! I am from Brazil and we too, are so proud to be part of such a great church! We love COGIC and we are working for the advancement of the Kingdom and of our message of Salvation, Sanctification and Power of the Holy Ghost! May God continue to bless and strenghten our leaders, Bishop Blake and Mother Rivers and our Jurisdictional Leaders, Bishop Samuel Moore and Mother Lee Van Zandt!
23 Years ago COGIC started in this country. Today we are more than 60 churches and we still growing! To God be the glory!

I am excited to hear the COGIC has decided to access technology to optimize efforts to share rich teachings and information of the Church. However, I can’t help but be disappointed the Church’s website is not yet fully functional. I pray the webiste is fully operational soon.
I am so elated to know that the Church of God In Christ is making such advancements and accomplishments with the internet. I view the information on a regular basis to know whats going on in our Church. I am very proud of this grand ole church. We have come a long ways in the past 102 years and there will be more accomplishments that we can make before the end of this world comes. With God all things are possible that pertain to life and godliness.
Praise God!
Here we are, spiritually and technologically prepared to enter this era of life. I’m glad we have qualified and capable leaders to guide us. Get on board saints with your skills and the Holy Ghost to navigate. Sister from Madison, IL
As a leader’s wife and as a member of this organization, I’m excited and can’t wait for this new paradigm shift to take place.
This will eliminate all of the hand(s)the paperwork, monies and even local church business have to go through before your business in the local churches can be taken care of, in a timely manner.
These are the key points that stood out:
“To serve the credential holders of the Church and at the discretion of the jurisdictional prelate and supervisor, the new COGIC.com will offer voluntary jurisdictional online financial reporting to receive district, state, and national obligations.
*It is the vision of our Presiding Bishop to utilize technology to unite the Church in ministry. We are closing the digital divide by creating a COGIC network online.
I’m keeping an eye out for the change!

Yes, our website most certainly needs regularly maintenance (just a plain ole up keep on regulary basis). It will give a distinctive and professional look 24/7; and we who are members of the body will can feel good and happy, about our Digital Move and the Church of God In Christ Website, (as) it is the new direction for the church today. Thank God for you Bishop Blake, for your timely vision.

Thank God for the global Vision of Leadership. It’s a new digital day in the Kingdom of God! There is a season and a reason for all things under the sun.
We serve a moving God and with the use of the internet we can use it as a tool to reach the masses at the the click of a mouse to be,strategically positioned to go into all the world via the web.
As we leave the Industrial age a time when good manufacturing jobs and social security were secure, its imperative we open our eyes to see the windows of heaven God is opening online for His people.
Today we live in the Information Age and can use this Information Super Highway for the glory of God and discover hidden treasure of darkness, so there will be “no digital divide” .
Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.

This is outstanding! It shows great foresight by our Presiding Bishop to utilize every tool available for ministry. I serve as the Webmaster at my local Church and I am constantly talking about the transition from the Industrial age to the digital age. As always, COGIC is on the cutting edge.
